Behind tonner.it are two people, two crafts, and one shared home in Taisten, on the sunny terrace above the Puster Valley in South Tyrol.

Dr. med. vet. Urban Luis Tonner
Urban is a veterinarian for small animals and farm animals. His territory stretches from the practice on Simon-von-Taisten-Straße to the barns of the mountain farms in the Puster Valley and the Gsies Valley – where farming still lives from family-run holdings with small herds. Small animals are seen by appointment at the practice; for farm animals, he comes to the barn.

Irmgard Kollmann
Irmgard is the beekeeper of the house and the first person to talk to about our honey. From the apiary to extracting and creaming to the finished jar, everything passes through her hands – whoever buys our honey receives it from the beekeeper in person.
Our bees
Together we look after our bee colonies on the flowering meadows around Taisten, at a good 1,200 m. In early summer, some colonies move up above 1,500 m, where the Alpine rose blooms. Small harvests, varietal honeys, short distances: our honey goes from the hive straight into the jar – and from our house to you.

A good address
Our street bears the name of a great son of the village: Simon von Taisten, born here around 1450, a painter of the late Gothic period who left his mark all over the Puster Valley – his frescoes still adorn the St. Erasmus chapel in the heart of Taisten. The way we see it: a good address for honest craftsmanship.
