Privacy Policy
The protection of your personal data is important to us. At runtime this website deliberately loads no content from third-party servers – no external fonts, scripts, maps or embedded media. The only exception is our self-hosted statistics software Matomo (see point 6). Below we inform you in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and Italian data protection law (Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 as amended by Decree no. 101/2018).

2. Your rights as a data subject
You have the following rights in relation to us:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Right to withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
To exercise them, an informal message to the contact details above is sufficient. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Italy the competent authority is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome (www.garanteprivacy.it).
3. Hosting and email
This website and our self-hosted statistics software are hosted by Infomaniak Network SA, Rue Eugène-Marziano 25, 1227 Geneva, Switzerland; data is processed on servers in Switzerland. An adequacy decision of the EU Commission exists for Switzerland. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For email we use Proton Mail by Proton AG, Route de la Galaise 32, 1228 Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland.
4. Server log files
When the site is accessed, the hosting provider automatically records server log files (IP address, date/time, page requested, data volume, referrer URL, browser type and operating system). This data serves solely the technical operation, stability and security of the website and is deleted after 14 days at the latest. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. Cookies and consent management
Our website uses cookies or comparable technologies only where technically necessary or where you have consented. For consent we use a self-developed, data-minimising consent banner; your choice is stored exclusively locally in your browser (localStorage). We use no third-party services for consent management. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, or (f) for technically necessary cookies.
6. Web analytics with Matomo (self-hosted)
For statistical analysis we use the open-source software Matomo, which we operate ourselves on the Swiss infrastructure mentioned above; the data stays with us and is not passed to third parties. Matomo is configured to minimise data: measurement without cookies, shortened (anonymised) IP addresses, and your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting is respected. As the analysis is anonymous and cookieless, we base it on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time by enabling “Do Not Track”.
7. Location display
On our contact page we show our location via a self-hosted, static graphic. No map from a third party is loaded and no connection to an external map service is established – no data is transmitted to third parties when the page is opened.
8. Link to Google Maps
On the contact page we offer a “Directions with Google Maps” link. This is a plain link – no data is transmitted to Google when our page is opened. Only when you actively click the link are you redirected to Google Maps; the privacy terms of Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland then apply (policies.google.com/privacy). We note this redirect directly at the link.
9. Getting in touch
If you contact us by phone or email, we process the data you provide solely to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). We do not offer a contact form. If you use the direct WhatsApp link on our contact page, communication takes place via the WhatsApp service of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland; WhatsApp’s privacy terms apply. Use is voluntary – alternatively you can reach us by phone or email.
10. External links
This website contains links to external third-party websites (e.g. the independent honey analysis or the FNOVI veterinary chamber). We have no influence over their content or data processing; the terms of the respective providers apply.
11. Data security
This website uses TLS/SSL encryption. We also take technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or manipulation.
12. No automated decision-making
No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, takes place.
